GRAND RAPIDS CHIMNEY REPAIR

Chimney repair is grueling, laborious work yet extremely gratifying when all said and done! I approach every chimney the same. First, I detail photograph the problem areas using a drone.

This not only provides me with safety, but gives me close up footage of the problem areas of your chimney to give you a more accurate estimate. I then share this with my customer so they can physically see the damage without having to risk injury climbing a ladder to see it themselves.

Plus, they can be confident that the damage actually exists instead of taking my word for it. Next, I propose a plan of execution to resolve and prevent future damage from occurring. I provide a thoroughly written estimate detailing all the work to be completed and a dollar amount not to exceed.

WHY BRIXSTONE?

  1. No ‘band-aid’ fixes! We only fix a chimney the correct way! If you want a cheap fix you have come to the wrong place.
  2. We pride ourselves on going to great lengths to match original bricks and mortar color. When possible we will rebuild using original bricks for a perfect match. On turn of the century historic homes we also use soft Lime mortars to protect soft clay bricks from future damage.
  3. 4” thick concrete caps with 1 1/2” overhang. We start with high strength concrete then we add precisely measured Trinic Tec 10 admix and silica fume mixed with poly fibers to minimize shrinkage and cracks. Increases 4000 psi concrete to 11,000 psi. Full cage of galvanized ladder wire imbedded to prevent cracks. All caps back beveled underneath like a shed roof so rain water does not wick back to brick.
  4. Protection of shingles, bushes, windows and anything else so it appears like we were never there.
